We’re always accepting applications from real estate photographers, FAA-certified drone operators, photo editors, and 3D tour technicians across Northern California. Strong candidates are added to our active shortlist — we bring new team members on as listing volume grows, typically every 2-3 months.
Most positions are part-time and 1099-contract, with the option to grow into full-time as listing volume scales.
Strong candidates have: experience with real estate photography (or transferable architectural/interior photography experience), the equipment to handle a real estate shoot solo (or willingness to invest), reliability and punctuality (real estate is a deadline-driven business), and the soft skills to work with agents and homeowners.
Competitive per-shoot pay (most photographers earn $75-$150 per residential shoot, more for commercial and complex jobs), flexible scheduling, training and equipment loans for the right candidate, mentorship from Tom Sparks (8 years in the business), and a clear path to full-time work as you build a track record.
We provide training on our preferred camera setup (Sony Alpha series), the iGuide and Matterport 3D capture systems, our HDR processing workflow in Lightroom, and the booking and delivery platform (Pic-Time + CompanionLink). New photographers shadow paid shoots before going solo. Drone operators must hold a current FAA Part 107 license; we cover renewal costs for active team members.
Email jobs@sparksmediagroup.com with: a short intro, your resume or LinkedIn, 5-10 portfolio images (or a link to your work), and which role you’re interested in. We respond to every application within 1 week.
